DELF B2 exam validates your language skills as an independent user. You are now able to argue an opinion, develop your point of view and negotiate. At this level, you must be able to communicate effectively in face-to-face situations and correct your own mistakes. This exam is composed of :

The DELF B2 is composed of 2 tests :

  • a written test (2h30) which includes exercises in listening comprehension (0h30), reading comprehension (1h) and written production (1h),
  • an oral test in 2 parts : preparation (0h30) of an oral presentation (0h20) consisting of  a monologue based on a written document, followed by a discuss with the examiners.

Each part is marked out of 25 points, the total is out of 100 points. To pass, you need to score 50/100. The minimum score required per test is 5/25.

Calendar of registrations and sessions

Registration is possible up to two weeks before the exam, subject to availability. The date of the oral exam is set according to the availability of the jury and cannot be chosen.

Registration formalities

To register, you must upload the following documents through your online account in “My official documents”:

  • Identity card or passport (with photo).
  • If you have already taken DELF exam: DELF registration certificate, transcript of marks or copy of diploma including your candidate number.

Invitation to the exam: up to 1 week before the exam, you will receive your invitation by email.

Important

  • Your results will be sent by post within 6 weeks.
  • Your diploma will be sent by post approximately 6 months after the examination date.
  • Upon successful completion of the exam, you will receive a diploma valid for life.
  • A partial refund or postponement to the following session, for a fee and subject to available places, may be requested on presentation of medical, professional or transport incident proof (strike or delay on the day of the tests). The justification must be written in French and sent no later than the day after the tests to tests_examens@aflyon.org.
