DELF B1 exam

B1

The DELF B1 (Diplôme d’études en langue française) is an official certification issued by France Éducation international on behalf of the French Ministry of Education.

It is the third stage of the certification process (A1 to C2).

This internationally recognized, lifetime certificate assesses a candidate’s ability to communicate independently in everyday, professional, and academic situations. It also measures their ability to express their opinion, recount events, and handle simple interactions.

The DELF B1 certifies that a user is independent and able to express themselves in various social contexts, such as school, work, or travel. It also allows them to apply for a long-term residence permit in France.
