The Alliance Française de Lyon’s Oral Passport workshop is designed to boost your confidence in speaking French through intensive, interactive practice. Led by an expert FLE teacher, this workshop is ideal for learners at levels B1 to C1 who want to consolidate their oral skills in addition to their main course or personal practice.

Methodology

The program follows the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The activities mainly develop:

• Listening comprehension
• Speaking (interaction and continuous speech)

The objective per level:

B1: threshold level: express yourself fluently and understand more complex texts. Learn more
B2: Independent level: communicate clearly and elaborate on ideas on a wide range of subjects. Learn more
C1: Proficient level: master French with ease and communicate fluently on complex topics. Learn more

Prerequisites

You must have attained at least an A2 level to participate in this workshop.

Course materials

Teachers use teaching resources that they have designed themselves, based on the methodology of the Alliance Française de Lyon.
They draw on a variety of materials and tools, including role-playing, audio and video clips, themed worksheets, and interactive activities, to encourage learners to speak, and to develop their fluency and spontaneity.

In order to offer a modern and interactive experience, the course includes:

Zoom platform
Apolearn: online learning platform featuring resources, videos, and exercises
Wooclap: quizzes and interactive activities to boost participation

Level test

The placement test assesses language skills and places each participant in a suitable group. It is available online or during a consultation appointment.

After registering, you will receive an email giving you access to our online platform. You will start with a self-assessment, which will enable us to offer you a test tailored to your profile.

This French placement test, based on the four skills of the CEFR (listening and reading comprehension, speaking and writing), lasts between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes.

It is then corrected by an expert trainer from the Alliance Française in Lyon, ensuring accurate placement in the appropriate level.

Designed by our teaching team specializing in French as a foreign language (FLE), this test ensures optimal placement in your course.

Choosing the Alliance Française de Lyon
