DAEFLE exam – Final exam
The DAEFLE (Diplôme d’Aptitude à l’Enseignement du Français Langue Étrangère) is a professional certification offered by the Alliance Française in Paris and the CNED.
The degree consists of five fundamental skill sets:
- Accompagner les apprenants par l’évaluation: using assessment as a teaching tool
- Animer un cours: conducting a French as a foreign language teaching session
- Évoluer dans son milieu professionnel: adapting and progressing in your professional environment
- Favoriser l’acquision de la prononciation: helping learners improve their pronunciation and oral fluency
- Préparer un cours: designing and organizing a French as a foreign language session
And one specialization block from the following:
- FLE aux enfants ( FLE ENF): adapting teaching practices to the needs and pace of children learning French.
- Français sur Objectifs Spécifiques (FOS): designing and teaching French courses tailored to a specific professional or technical field.
- Enseigner aux Adultes Pas ou Peu Scolarisés (APPS): supporting adults with little or no formal education, taking into account their literacy level and specific needs.

There is no point system for this exam.

- 2026 DAEFLE registration form, completed and signed
- Notification of academic monitoring for the block presented (issued by the Alliance Française de Paris)
- Valid ID
Any incomplete or late applications will not be processed.
- You will receive your exam invitation by email one week before the exams
- If you did not recieve it, contact : test_examens@aflyon.org.
- Results are sent by the Alliance Française de Paris
- No refunds will be given for registration fees.
- A deferral to the next session may be requested only upon presentation of medical, professional, or transportation incident documentation (strike or delay on the day of the exams).
- The supporting document must be written in French and sent no later than the day after the exams to the following address: test_examens@aflyon.org.

Since its creation in 1984, the Alliance Française de Lyon has been teaching the French language and promoting cultural diversity.
We are an examination center approved by France Éducation International, located in downtown Lyon, with rooms suitable for exams.
Our examiners are certified and trained according to the official DELF and DALF standards.
In 2025, more than 2,800 candidates placed their trust in the Alliance Française de Lyon to take a French exam, including 111 candidates for the DAEFLE.
