The Crous (Regional Center for University and School Works) is a French public organization that manages student housing in France.
Crous university residences are known for their accessibility and proximity to higher education institutions.
- Duration: Accommodation in university residences is reserved for the duration of your studies, from the start of your courses until their completion.
- Monthly reservation: Accommodation is only available for courses lasting at least one month, subject to availability.
Each Crous room includes:
- Bed
- Desk
- Private bathroom (shower and toilet)
- Fully equipped shared kitchen (microwave, electric stove)
- Internet connection
At the Alliance Française in Lyon, learning French is above all a cultural and human immersion experience. Our teachers are all FLE (French as a Foreign Language) certified and use a communicative, action-oriented teaching method. From day one, learners are encouraged to speak and exchange ideas in order to progress naturally in French.
As a higher education institution, the Alliance Française de Lyon has access to these Crous rooms for its international students. This allows students enrolled at the institution to benefit from official student accommodation during their studies.

- The rate does not include dishes or bed linen.
- Depending on the residence, it is possible to rent or purchase this equipment (approximately €17 per month).
