DAEFLE – Final Exam

Prerequisites

  1. Have passed the training access test
  2. Completion of six training modules

Contents

The DAEFLE diploma certifies your competence in teaching French to non-French speaking students. 

The admission test and training are distance learning. For more information and to register, visit the Alliance française de Paris website.

The Alliance française de Lyon is a testing center and, as such, organizes the final exam twice a year. You can register for one or more modules per session. The preferential rate of 450€ applies if you take all the modules in a single session.

This exam is accessible to people with disabilities. After registration, please contact tests_examens@aflyon.org. Your request must be sent no later than 2 months before the examination date.

Registration formalities

To validate your registration, you must upload the following documents through your online account in “My official documents”:

  1. Completed and signed DAEFLE registration form 2025
  2. Certificate of completion of the training modules (provided by the Alliance Française of Paris)
  3. A copy of a valid identity document

Please note that incomplete and/or late applications will not be processed.

You will receiveyour invitation to the DAEFLE exam by email 1 week before the exam date.

Important

  • No refunds will be made. A deferral to the following session may be requested on presentation of medical, professional or transport incident proof (strike or delay on the day of the tests). The justification must be in French and sent no later than the day after the tests to tests_examens@aflyon.org.
