What is the Civic exam?
The civic test is a mandatory exam for certain procedures in France, particularly in the context of a naturalization application, a resident card, or a multi-year residence permit. It assesses your knowledge of the values of the French Republic, the functioning of its institutions, and the fundamental principles of life in society.
The exam takes place on a computer, under simple and accessible conditions for everyone. It includes multiple-choice questions on civic culture, citizens’ rights and duties, and essential aspects of French society.
