How do our immersive French courses work?

The courses are based on a communicative and action-oriented approach, with 80 hours per month, organized to promote active French practice.

Each session at the Alliance Française de Lyon includes:

• A practical grammar point, adapted to each level
• Essential vocabulary for lexical enrichment in daily life
• Exercises on varied topics and content, including texts and writing activities
• Audio-visual activities to develop oral fluency and pronunciation

How long in immersion to learn a language?

The learning duration depends on your initial level and the goals you want to achieve. The training process from beginner to advanced level requires 14 sessions at an immersive pace.

What course levels are available?

Immersive courses cover five levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR):

• A1: introductory level: understand and use simple everyday sentences. Learn more

• B1: threshold level: express yourself fluently and understand more complex texts. Learn more
