Choosing a host family offers many benefits for international students:

- Close to the Alliance Française: host families are often located near our school, making it easy to attend French classes and explore the city.
Rooms offered in host families
Each host family provides a private bedroom within their home, including the following features (non-exhaustive list; see the attached technical sheets for details):
- Internet connection for your studies and leisure
- Access to the kitchen for preparing meals
- Private or shared bathroom
- Access to a washing machine
- Bicycle parking
- Library
- Garden
- Other household amenities
Host families are carefully selected to ensure a high-quality and fully immersive experience.
Accommodation packages
We offer two accommodation packages, depending on the host family:
Bed and Breakfast Package
- Room + breakfast
- No meals on weekends
- From €650/month
Half-Board Package
- Room + breakfast + dinner
- No meals on weekends
- From €800/month
These packages include accommodation and meals (except weekends) and provide a friendly and practical environment for rapid progress in French.
Booking conditions
Host family accommodation is reserved for the duration of your studies at the Alliance Française de Lyon, from the start of your courses until their completion.
Monthly booking: host family rooms are available only for programs of at least one month and subject to availability.
Important: the reservation will be confirmed only after payment for your courses and at least 60 days before the start of classes. We will match you with a host family depending on availability.
