In-person classroom observation internship
The classroom observation course is aimed at teachers and future teachers wishing to teach French as a foreign language using concrete, contextualized classroom practices.
This course is part of the Alliance Française de Lyon’s FLE teacher training program, and gives participants the opportunity to observe classes run by experienced French as a foreign language tutor-trainers.
By attending authentic sessions, particularly those incorporating FASP (Français au sens propre) files, participants develop a detailed understanding of current teaching practices and reinforce their professional skills through direct observation.

At the Alliance Française in Lyon, learning French is above all a cultural immersion and a human experience. Our teachers are all certified FLE experts with Master’s degrees, who use a communicative and action-oriented approach. From day one, learners are encouraged to speak and interact in order to progress naturally in French.
The courses use the textbooks Défi actuel (A1-A2) and Défi (B1-B2), available in a hybrid edition (student’s book + online activity book with videos, tutorials and pronunciation exercises). Our online educational tool centralizes materials, exercises, and videos for a comprehensive, interactive experience.
Our experienced teachers ensure a coherent progression with clear objectives and final tasks for each session. Learners develop skills that they can use in their daily and professional lives.
Learning French with the Alliance Française de Lyon is much more than just taking a class: it’s about experiencing the language on a daily basis, making rapid progress, and discovering the richness of Francophone culture.
