His parents, Nicola and Linda, remain in Italy and write to him regularly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For twelve years, the letters pile up. His mother writes about her daily life, filled with cooking, prayers and worries. His father offers advice, questions his son\u2019s choices and waits for news from him. Claudio reads the letters\u2026 but rarely replies.<br\/>   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From this one-sided correspondence comes J\u2019attends de tes nouvelles \/ Aspetto tue notizie, an autobiographical performance in which Claudio Colangelo brings three characters to life: himself, his mother and his father.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:47px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">One family, three characters, 200 letters<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">On stage, a few letters hanging from a clothesline, an old wooden chair and a single actor are enough to bring an entire family to life.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Claudio Colangelo takes on the roles of the son, the \u201cmamma\u201d and the father. Through everyday gestures, memories and the words contained in the letters, the characters gradually emerge and tell, with humour and tenderness, a deeply personal family story.<br\/> <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Over the years, the son\u2019s perspective on his parents changes. What once seemed burdensome or irritating gradually reveals something else: worry, awkwardness, expectations, fears and, above all, love.<br\/> <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">The performance thus becomes a tribute to parents, but also to writing and to the letters that allow a bond to endure despite distance.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:29px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Leaving to find yourself\u2026 and reconnecting with your roots<\/h3>\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 17%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the heart of this family story lies a more universal question: <strong>how do we find our place between the desire to leave and the need to remain connected to our roots?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After leaving Italy, Claudio seeks to build a life of his own. Theatre gradually becomes his guiding thread, taking him from city to city and eventually to Paris. Years later, after becoming a father himself, he rediscovers his parents\u2019 letters and reads them in a different light.<br\/><br\/>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Time has passed.
