DAEFLE – Access Test

The DAEFLE diploma certifies your competence in teaching French to non-French speaking students. The holders of the DAEFLE diploma can teach in France or abroad, in private or non-profit institutions. This test gives access to complete training or fundamental modules. It tests your mastery of the French language.The DAEFLE access test is taken online. You can pass the exam at home with a computer and a headset, on the chosen available date.The exam is made up of three papers:

  • Reading paper
  • Listening paper
  • Grammar and vocabulary

Initial or continuous training is provided remotely.You will take the final exam after passing six training modules.

April
  • Test from Thursday April 11th to Tuesday April 23rd 

Register before February 22nd

May
  •  Test from Tuesday May 21st to Friday May 31st 

Register before April 5th

October
  •  Test from Tuesday October 15th to Wednesday October 23rd 

Register before August 30th

November / December
  •  Test from Thursday November 28th to Friday December 6th 

Register before October 11th

 

Registration formalities

To validate your registration, you must upload the following documents through your online account in “My official documents”:

  • Completed and signed DAEFLE registration form (download the form)
  • Copy of certificate of completion of secondary education in French (foreign applicants must provide a copy translated to French)

Upon receipt of all the above documents, you will receive an invitation to the DAEFLE exam by email sent by the Alliance Française of Paris.

  • Registration fees are not refundable
